No, the representatives could be trained for other tasks. Every time there is a technological advancement, people will always have to adapt. Now, I agree it's going to suck, but they will have to adapt. And front desk reps at medical clinics wouldn't be taken over by AI for a while because they also provide the human element in the office when you're checking in and checking out.

AI is going nowhere; whether you like it or not, it's going to get better. Governments should notice this and start providing grants to industries that wouldn't be easily taken over by AI.
